I had to be very careful writing that, it seems unlikely to me but is being quite widely reported. Hence all the 'reportedly' and 'apparently'. Is it one of those West End rumours that have spread to the media or is this actually happening.

Your thoughts ladies and gents?

Because it will (sadly) probably sell. People love that tiny Australian lady.

I'm admittedly a big fan of Kylie, but I'm not too sure this is a good idea. Is this a step too far?

Oh no, bad idea.

The West End does not need another jukebox musical - but that's just my opinion!

If it did, I don't think a Kylie one is a good idea because most of her songs are too dance-based & there is very little dramatic narrative that could be tortured into any semblance of plot.

Also she is a very visual performer and the attraction of her music is basically because it is performed (spectacularly!) by her.

I can see why she would like a bit of the bandwagon but don't like the idea at all.

I am a BIG Kylie fan and have been since I was 11. However, I think this is a BAD idea. As freckles says, most of Kylie's song are perfect little nuggets of pop fluff. The attraction of them is in dancing like a nutter, or watching the lady herself perform them with all the glitz and razzmatazz that goes through them. I have no desire to watch them sung as part of some horribly cliched and contrived story, while everyone in the audience alternates between going 'oooh Maggie, you know this one, come on, sing along. La la la, la la la la la" and popping out in the middle of the show for another drink.

Sorry I can’t remember his name but does anyone think the same guy who scored an amazing success turkey with Rent Remixed will be involved?
“The staff are really exited too. Everyone’s giving me a little, doing a little that, when I walk past in the corridor, eyebrow raise thing, when usually they look away.”
