How quickly do the £25 day tickets for Hairspray normally get snapped up (assuming they're still doing them - the website says so). My friend and I are thinking of going either side of the Christmas period and I'm trying to decide whether to book in advance or take a chance on the day.

The last time I went the £25 tickets were for the front row ~ i waited about 45 minutes ~ best bet is maybe to queue when there is a matinee and evening (if you can) so you have more choice ~ as close to the centre as possible as I was at the end of the front row and it was a bit squashy with the orchestral pit right up to my knees... looked like more space towards the centre...

They are always doing day tickets - they are £25 quid at the moment and they sell the front row of each performance on the day...
Something else to bear in mind is that I went last Friday night - got to the theatre at 5.30pm and got offered rear stalls for 25 quid a ticket which was excellent.
I love the front row though - not alot of leg room but you are right in the action!

I queued for front row from 7.30 and I was second in the queue. But at 10 the queue wasnt that long so I would say that you are very likely to get them.

Is it only 2 per person or can one person buy 3 tickets?

I think it's possible given that schools are in session and you're going for the matinee performance, but not too likely. I know people who've gone on Thursdays and gotten day seats without having to be there when the box office opened, but at least a couple of those times were during Michael Ball's time off.

the front row were gone but got back of circle instead. You should be fine if youre not set on front row.
