there is a one off charity performance in aid of ovarian cancer on sunday 21st september at the duchess. i found it by chance on the nimax theatres web site. it will be starring jena lee james, rachel wooding, annalene beechy and simon grief. also making her west end debut will be eden espinosa who did standby elphaba and then took on the role on broadway and on tour and also in the musical brooklyn. im sure she will be fab and the rest of them would have been worth seeing anyway!!

Well -- for what's it's worth -- I certainly hadn't seen it advertised before now, and thanks, Millie D., for the post. I have booked tix and really looking forward to it! Looks to be an outstanding line-up and I have heard stellar reviews of Eden Espinosa. (I've also seen Annalene Beechey a couple of times in the past couple of weeks in Marguerite and I shall certainly be following her career with interest, she is terrific.) Well worth the ticket price, and some good tickets left, from what I was able to garner from booking.

Anybody see this other than me?

(Well clearly as the theatre was full)

I thought Eden Espinosa was outstanding (...erm, except for that weird leaning-over bit) and utterly fantastic performances from all -- especially Liam Tamne, totally unexpected! -- but I also thought Annalene Beechley stole the show with the last number.

Anyone else?

[Can a Mod add "Never Never Land" as a subtitle on this thread to update it?]
Edited to say 'thanks'

I enjoyed Act 1 with Eden singing Once Upon A Time to close it,but sorry Scott Alan and Act 2 was dire!,his chat and songs were bizarre to say the least and I was disapointed Rachael Wooding did not appear and even though she was listed in the programme but no insert put in to say her and 2 others wouldnt be performing.

I was there. Totally disagree with you Kate though; thought both Scott and his songs (although a little odd) were fantastic! Standouts for me were; Cassie Compton, Liam Tamne (who had half the Wicked cast in the audience as support), Jenna Leigh Green and Annalene Beechey. Eden Espinosa was adorable too, but didnt really do anything for me singing wise sad.gif she was funny though.
