I saw this last night on pleasant evening however i recommend taking a blanket incase it does get a bit chilly as it did the last time i went and i froze. The show is a very funny show if not slightly dated but an excellent cast bring it to life including, topol, millicent martin, myra sands, kerry washington, Linda Thorson and of course the amazing Lisa O Hare.
I was sat second row in the middle and i recommend these seats for anyone as the facial expressions are wonderful. Topol is very funny and can move surprisingly well fro his age ie standing on chairs and jumping off them etc. The set is glorius, very clever and possibly the most ingenious the open air has had for a while. The show is very funny including songs such as thank heaven for little girls and ah i remember it well. The cast were wonderful and i cannot get over how beautiful and amazing Lisa o Hare is. She blew me away in Mary Poppins and in this she is just phenomonal. Her childish energy and fun in the first act and her vulnerability and the way she becomes a woman in the second act just takkes your breath away. Topol is very very funny and i did laugh out loud which is rare for me. I thought this easily beat the boyfriend however i missed last years lady be good so i cant compare with that. I think everyone should go and see it for the amazing performances, the great show, the amazing production and the magical and beautiful setting of regents park open air theatre. smile.gif

Enjoyed it with a few reservattions - Topol seemed to forget his lines a few times -and the leading man playing Gaston was truly awful in my opinion!!

I agree about the lead man playing gaston was dreadful and his fake english accent really irritated me. I wasnt sure if topol forgot his lines or was pausiing for effect or a very very good actor lol.If it happened two nights in a rwo im sure it was something to do with his acting.
