The Girl playing Penny was Jenii Hicks and she is Really Good.
Ben has tonsilitus so he couldnt perform.
Adrian is on Holiday and Terel is on as Seaweed this week.
Ellie Collect is away for 3 weeks getting married so Jenii is on.

I didnt think the performance was that amazing. They had a lot of swings on and the stage was tiny.

I adore Jenii Hicks as Penny, have seen her 8 times and think she's so much better than Elinor.
None of them were really on form though.

Thought it was a terrible advertisement for the show. Not that the covers were bad. Its just that You Cant Stop The Beat just does not work on Tv ( Royal Variety!) compared to the extraordinary live version. It was cramped and filmed horribly with fast cuts and moving cameras etc.
I know any publicity is good publicity but more thought is needed on the quality and content.
Made a first class production look cheap - sorry.

I saw a trailer for Hairspray on the Broadway channel in a NYC hotel. That looked really terrible.
Ooh, that Bernadette Shaw - what a chatterbox!

Thanks. Woah, is it me or did anyone else find that really uncomfortable and awkward to watch? All those close-ups in that tiny space were so distracting!
