For a novice such as myself, what does a Musical Supervisor do that a Musical Director doesn't? Did Simon Lee ever conduct The Sound of Music at the Palladium?
I wouldn't say a word that could be reckoned as injurious,
But to find a mother younger than her son is very curious,

A Musical Supervisor would normally conduct the first few shows, up until press night, and then the MD would take over.

The MD is in charge of that specific production, whereas the Supervisor makes sure all productions around the world are of the same standard.
