So NF is leaving Savoy (Good move... it's bad for passing trade)

I hear the show is doing quite well, 3 levels and full tonight my FOH friend said.... so where does it go next?

I guess it must depend on what is closing and with an announcement on the cards then someone must be about get their notice!

Suggestions? Marguerite? Zorro? Ave Q? Grease?

Hm...

Haymarket - Too small!
Garrick - Too Small! - Zorro hasn't even had its press yet - give it a chance!
Noël Coward - Avenue Q is doing quite well, isn't it? Unlikely to come off just before Xmas.
Piccadilly - Legally Blonde?

Lyric - ?
Guilgud - ?
Skip - ? All we really know is that Never Forget has had it's notice and will close in November.

Not Ave Q! ohmy.gif

Not Grease either...though NF could sit quite nicely in the Piccadilly.
My bet is on the Playhouse.

Playhouse??? Hmmm possible.... doubt it will go any further into Holborn i.e Into hoods/Buddy cos it pointless leaving Savoy but who knows....

I dont think it's quite got it's notice... Carousel is an ATG show going into an ATG theatre, NF was never going to stay there surely??

The Playhouse? Tiny little thing, not even remotely similar to the Savoy in Size.

NF went into the Savoy with an open end, didn't sell the tickets and is now being booted out!

Until/Unless another West End Theatre is confirmed, then yes - it has had it's notice! It will close at the Savoy Theatre on the 15th of November.

Playhouse is 800 seats- not too bad. NF would fit if they scaled it down a bit! I can't think of another 1,200 seater theatre like the Savoy that will be empty in Nov.

Footloose got kicked out of the Novello to make room for the RSC last year, and found a home at the Playhouse. We'll see if NF gts transferred, even if there is a break in between.

Can't see why it would go into the Novello as doesn't the RSC have that booked from December 3rd - March 09?
