I just noticed today that Lord of the Rings does matinees on Thursdays rather than the usual Wednesdays - are any other West End shows currently doing this?

I ask because I live in Cardiff and have recently rediscovered my love of musicals, so am looking at opportunites to get to the West End, Thursdays are my day off so could do Thursday matinees quite easily.

Hairspray does Thursday matinees. You'll find matinees in the West End are fairly well spread out between Sunday (Lion King) and Friday (Never Forget). Best to check with whichever show you want to see.

There's also a few like Phantom that do Tuesdays.

I never realised! I always thought Wednesday was the traditional matinee day and that we were a bit unusual in Cardiff in that the New Theatre does Thursdays.

Cool smile.gif I see a few day trips coming up then!
