I'd never been to Brooklyn Academy of Music and was knocked out by the space and it's unerring similarity to the amazing Bouffes du Nord in Paris; can there be more beautiful theatres in the world than these two?

It finished this weekend but the John Turturro production of Endgame was really top stuff. Elaine Stritch and Max Casella are both fab in it, and Alvin Epstein (who is evidently a big Beckett vet) is terrific. The dog is especially good too. I realise that a lot of Endgame rests with the pooch, and this one's really really got it.
