I have signed up to the ALW 60th birthday mailing list but haven't had an email yet.

Does anyone know what is happening for the birthday celebrations? Is there going to be a concert?

laugh.gif Tulip & Tintin. It certainly does seem as if ALW has been around for ever!

Concerts around the country, later in the year, I think I've read somewhere (though NO details yet).

Tomorrow afternoon's tv might reveal more info:
on this afternoon's Alan Titchmarsh show, I'm almost sure Alan said ALW would be celebrating his birthday live on tomorrow's show.

Alan Titchmarsh show, ITV, 2.30-3.30pm.

(PS AndrewLloydWebber.com says Andrew was born on March 22nd,
so I suppose the above means CELEBRATING live, not actual BIRTHDAY live.)

Good grief, he's like the Queen now? Or George Washington?

Ah well he may rate "[living] national treasure" before too long
"I don't trust that pirate girl."

Sorry, I'd misunderstood: ALW himself wasn't there (though others there did celebrate his birthday, chat about him, &c) -
there was no info about any new Events.

Well I wish him well! I don't understand the smallmindedness of people who resent him just because he has been successful.

And I will still go and see Phantom in concert when I am not actually that keen on Phantom per se. It is curious enough to be interesting though. Am hugely looking forward to the Proms in the Park thing though. That might just be amazing!

That would be smallminded, indeed. On the other hand is it not acceptable to resent him because he is lowest-common-denominator?
Ooh, that Bernadette Shaw - what a chatterbox!
