God knows why this show is so popular, its so awful such poor songs not helped by a very low talent cast, the worst being Helen George as Sharpay who I thought was dreadful and cant hold a note to save her life!
The cardboard cut out set is a joke only the band are fairly decent.
What a waste of money it was for me and most of the kids round me why bored stiff.

Not seen the show and have no desire too but have to agree about Helen George saw her covering Laura in The Woman in White and thought she was awful and am surprised she is still working.

I saw Helen George in Company at the Edinburgh Fringe last year and thought she was amazing as April. She brought a new level to the character i have never seen before, not just playing her as a dumb blonde!

Oh yes I saw that production of Company. They'd done something odd with that chacter that Helen George played I thought it was a bit off the wall.

She's got a strange stare!

I quite liked High School Musical but agree the cast could have been better I didnt think much of Helen George, had such weak voice I thought and looked bored with her role which is not how Sharpay should be played.
Hope the cast and staging is better in London.
