"Parade Returns to the U.S.: Surely after all the excitement caused by Rob Ashford's thrilling production of Parade at London's Donmar Warehouse, U.S. audiences can expect this groundbreaking show to make its way across the pond. Though a representative from my office issued a terse "We have no statement at this time," I'm hearing that a major American regional theater will be bringing that production to their stage in 2009. I'm said to be very excited about this new development, but repeated inquiries went unanswered!"

Interesting stuff!

If, and it's a big if, the show opens in a regional theatre I doubt Bertie and Lara would star. Maybe if the show opened on Broadway then they might recreate their roles from the London production.

From the comments written about a possible transfer it doesn't sound very encouraging.

However they did say 'at this time' so they haven't ruled it out, yet.

I know the History Theatre, Theatre Latte Da, and The Minnesota Jewish Theatre, are doing a combined production right now in St. Paul, I want to say it is the same script as the Donmar one because they said they didn't have the resources to to a large production. I hear it is going to be very good.

Sorry, I saw the Production in St. Paul MN today and it was the Broadway Script. Although they cut the song "Come up to my Office" which I was kind of bummed about but overall it was a Great Production.

This is very exciting news. I guess I can hope against hope that the production is anywhere near St. Louis. I'd love to see this show.

How on earth could they cut that song? Are they insane? It's essential.

The Way they staged the Court Room Scene I can't imagine how they would have gotten Leo up without taking the audience out of the moment, but then they could have staged it differently
