So Siobhan Donaghy is leaving Rent and will be replaced by the understudy.

Well, it would be hard to find someone to take over the role for three weeks, and lets be honest, would you want to be in this version?

It was a brave move to update it but in the end a terrible director, cheap click tracks and dodgy casting meant that it would never succeed!!

Others have said it and they are right, the creative team should stick to what they do best, work with singers who just lip-sinc to "dodgy" playback!

Is this official? If so effective from when - now? I'd love to go back if I was sure Siobhan wouldn't be assaulting my ears/eyes again!

Hi, she is deffinatley 100% leaving 12th January. I believe her understudy is taking over, as she said so, but Rent Remixed IS good, it has improved alot and i think, fair enough, it has not done amazing, but has supressed everyones expectations, although, the other week they only had 70 people in the audience, but hey, it was boxing day, but then on 27th (Jessie's first night, who is amazing) the show was sold out with the exception of 15 seats in upper circle

If you are attempting to refer to Kylie in your childish quote about lip sync might I suggest you maybe attend one of her concerts and see that this is something she never does live. Also you must have a very limited knowledge of technology in your beloved west end as sequenced elements are used in a lot of the big shows as the technology is incredibly creative and not everyone wants to live in the past where you appear to be rather comfortable.
