Saw this yesterday afternoon and enjoyed it enormously.
Written by Stephen Fry it was a very gay panto but nothing wrong with Buttons getting off with Dandini, is there?
A bit near the knuckle for kids but I think it mainly went over their heads. Cinderella was a bit wishy-washy but Pauline Collin's Fairy Godmother (with a spot of the Peggy Mitchells) was great. Britain's favourite lesbian, Sandy Toksvig did a good job as a narrator and the house was brought down by a five year old girl who was brought up from the audience to help who then blew the gaffe by revealing "My uncle is one of the Ugly sisters!"
The sets were spectacular and everbody fell for the puppet mice who appeared in Cinders's kitchen from the stove and dresser.
Good fun.
