Just seen Denise and Siobhan on 'Something for the Weekend', where Denise said they have recast Maureen. She wouldn't say who it was but said she was going to be good.

Anyone know who will be filling Denise's stockings over xmas and into the New Year?

DVO said that her replacement was a well known actress who would surprise people with her singing voice.

Any guesses?

She's best known as Kat Slater in Eastenders. She also played Marie Lloyd in a biographical drama for the Beeb.

Another brassy tart with a heart type.........makes me shudder. Appalling, surely the last nail in 'Rent's London coffin?

Why don't they let CJ take over, as she was head and shoulders above Denise, and sort out Mimi instead? Then the show could really be quite strong. I already know some of you think it will never be good, just to save you from writing it! I happened to enjoy it immensely, but much more so when CJ was Maureen. She actually plays a character. Not just herself.
