For those who are interested Upstairs at the Gatehouse in Highgate are putting on a stage version of the Cliff Richard film The Young Ones as their Christmas show. Whilst I appreciate that the mention of Cliff Richard may put people off (lol) my recollection of the film is that there were many good songs in it & this may well be worth a try particularly bearing in mind the very reasonable prices at the Gatehouse.

Went to see the show and can confirm it is indeed very good, full of classic songs - Livin' Doll, The Young Ones, Do You Wanna Dance - and the production and cast are excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

It sounds like they have added other Cliff Richard songs to the original score.

I just hope nobody has been to see this at my initial suggestion. I went last night & it was truly dreadful. Whilst full credit is due to the musicians, the whole thing was painfully dated & not at all helped by a lead who, whilst a good singer, was seriously lacking in the acting department.
