Has anyone ever bought tickets from Discount Theatre Tickets (they do the special offers for WOS and Theatre Monkey)? Are they reputable enough? I've never bought tickets from them before so I don't know how good they are.

Thanks for the info. I have seen cheaper at LastMinute.com but you don't know where your seats are.

I've never once been disappointed by Lastminute tickets (and I've used them maybe 25 times). If they say 'best available', that means the sort of seats you'd get at Tkts ie front couple of rows or further back but at the sides. If they don't have these seats, then they will tell you that the tickets are Upper Circle, usually selling at £28 and they are selling them for £15 or something similar. No, they don't give you a ticket number but you have to decide whether that's worth an extra £10 or £15. Fortunately, thanks to the internet, at least 70% of shows have a choice of discounts and theatre managers can no longer con punters into believing they are lucky to be able to get tickets for a sold-out show.

I've often been tempted by lastminute.com prices - BUT I haven't dared risk booking,
in case their idea of Best Available might be a NormallyTopPrice CIRCLE seat -
many of which have hardly any LEGROOM.

If that happened, would there be much chance of the theatre letting me change seats, eg to the far end of a row,
where I could at times stretch my legs into the aisle?

It never has been in my experience - I've always been in the stalls but of course you can't always tell what the legroom is going to be like whatever seat you pick (Theatremonkey is not 100% accurate). Basically if you are really fussy about your seats (and there are good reasons you might be) it's as if you can only go to the theatre on Saturday evenings - you aren't going to get the same discounts as people who can be more flexible.

If it helps I'm looking to book two tickets for Boeing Boeing on Wednesday 28th November. Discount Theatre Tickets is offering front row stalls for £25 each. I think Lastminute is offering seats at £22.50 but don't know where. I'd prefer to sit in the stalls.

I'd be tempted to go with Discount Theatre Tickets (not that I have ever used them- not recommending), an extra £5 isn't going to break the bank, and will guarantee you good seats- I've sat in the 2nd circle of the Comedy, and thank God I had a row to myself- legroom was appalling.

Well I've used Discount Theatre Tickets through this site. I figured WhatsOnStage wouldn't use a company that wasn't reputable.
