Still haven't got round to seeing this yet, and still won't have a chance to for a few months yet. Does anyone know when it is set to finish it's run at the Savoy?

The show is playing until feb 16 at the moment with a possible extension.
No mention of cast changes though. Some of the cast have been signed for the Fiddler tour which is a different production and company. Wishing them all the best!

Joe McGann is playing the lead! (frankly this is enough to put me off seeing it, never met or worked with such a pompus and frankly arrogant man in my life!)
This is my street, I smile at the faces I've known all my life, They regard me with pride.

It's a shame this production isn't touring. I'd much rather see this than the UK Productions effort.

Will the tour production be up to much?
Will Joe McGann be any good?

The UK Productions production of Fiddler is diabolical, as are all UK Productions. They really are the worst producers in the British industry; their productions look cheap, the direction is dreadful and the performances third-rate (Louise Dearman and Shona Lindsay aside, who thankfully have gone onto better things). Avoid at all costs. I look forward to the day when they stop ruining shows.
