Even if he is not, his understudy (James Byng) is just as good, if not better!

Cast change is June 21st 2008 (with Laura Michelle Kelly and Micheal Theriault due to leave before then in Feb).

Post that, nothing confirmed yet.

I watched LOTR last Saturday and thought it was the most amazing, beautiful piece of theatre I have ever seen! The understudy of Frodo was on James Byng he was fabulous with Stevie (Understudy of Galadriel) they work great together! The theatre was completely packed out although I don't think it was completely sold out. 9/10
Definitely go and see it!!!!

Saw LoTR this past Saturday with Stevie Tate-Bauer in the role of Galadriel and thought she was extraordinary. Anyone else seen her (in anything else)? Interested as to reactions.

Not so fond of the rest of the performance, although the set is astounding.

I saw Stevie Tate-Bauer at the matinee today... I guess she's in the same box as Jerome Pradon for me - I totally DO NOT GET IT. For me she gave a decent understudy performance, but not in the same league as Laura Michelle Kelly, vocally or in acting. She lacked the presence and awe, and absolute control that Laura Michelle Kelly had. Nothing wrong with her! Just no Wow factor. Equally, Jerome Pradon leaves me completely cold and vaguely irritated, yet so many people think he's wonderful. I don't suppose there's a right or wrong in it... but I'd be personally happy to see Aragorn re-cast, and I'm looking forward to seeing Abbie Osmon.

Agree, the tech is stunning! also appreciated VERY much the free pre-show talk, and post-show Q&A with cast members. Also saw some of the re-set at the same time. I gotta do the backstage tour there too!

Completely agree in re Jerome Pradon. A lot of stomping around and not much else. *Shrug* Maybe not his role - seemed like he was trying to hard to be Viggo Mortensen.

I agree about him too. He was awful in the JCS video.

I won't be called a baggage!
