Very sad news of Pavarotti's death. His voice was one of the all time greats (up there with Bjorling and Caruso) and his diction and natural response to the line of the music was unrivalled. I feel privileged to have seen him several times when he was still in his prime - a performance of "L'elisir d'amore" remains a special memory.
He will be greatly missed.
