Not really seen a thread on the shows that have confirmed transfers from Edinburgh to London, and as I've just collated a few of the ones we reviewed at View From The Stalls I thought I'd start one...
Nonsenseroom's excellent production of Douglas Maxwell's "Ballad of James II" is one of the first to reach London with a short run at the
Greenwich Theatre from 4th to 8th September. A delightful historical political thriller with a sense of humour and strong performances all round.
The National Theatre of Scotland's "Venus as a Boy" based on Luke Sutherland's novel also reaches London on 4th September and runs until the 22nd at the
Soho Theatre before visiting Glasgow's Citizens from 30th October to 10th November and then finishing up at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool from 15th to 17th November.
Alan Cumming's glorious performance as Dionysus in the National Theatre of Scotland's "The Bacchae" transfers to the
Lyric, Hammersmith from 5th to 22nd September.
