Does anyone know if a CD recording of Gypsy with Patti Lupone is scheduled to be released. I heard it was planned to be recorded.

I know the City center Encores in New York released a CD of Lupone in Pal Joey and one with Tyne Daly in Call Me Madam, amongst others.

Just wondered if anyone else had heard this 'rumour' and if anyone had any information re a possible release date. I would love a recording of this.

I haven't heard anything about a recording but there was talk of the production coming over to London sometime in 2008. LuPone is rumoured to be doing Mamet's new musical in May next year for a month or so in California - starts May I think - so a run of Gypsy would have to work round that.
