Do you know whether day seats are available for Billy Elliot? And if so, what time should I arrive and how much are they? Oh and also what time do they go on sale? Thanks :-)

They go on sale at 12 and cost £20 I think not sure what time people start getting there for them but I do warn you the stage is very high and the seats very far foward so it's a pretty bad view but the show is fantastic.

According to the listings, they now go on sale at 10.30; as Tanya wrote, the day seats are Row A of the stalls (and some side slips of the dress circle), they cost £25. Row B of the stalls is on advance sale for £25 and slightly further back. You need to be sat fairly centrally in Row B as the first and last couple of seats on each row have a particularly bad view. Row A is only half a row; one side has been taken away. If you have to go for the end of a row, the low numbers are slightly preferable to the high numbers (where you will miss Billy's first lines). Also, if you really want to see the feet, I think you need to be in Row E or further back.

Still, it's a great show and the current crop of Billies continue to set a very high standard. I like Corey Snide best of those playing the role at the minute, but that's a personal opinion. Oliver Taylor, Layton Williams and Travis Yates (who leaves on 1st September) all bring different things to the role.

If you can cope with the lack of legroom (pretty common drawback throughout the VP at present), then the front row of the Upper Circle has a great view of the stage. You look through two rails, but the stage is framed between them and I certainly ceased to notice them very quickly. Last summer I was sold one of these seats on the day, at (or very near) the day seat price - but without having to queue.
The engine roared, the motor hissed,
And who could see that the road would twist

Dean McCarthy returns to the Billy rota tomorrow, after over four months off injured. Also, the original Mr. Braithwaite, Steve Elias, returns to cover for Alex Delamere who remains injured.
