Hi guys,
I apologise if this is similar to a dozen other threads on the board but I need some advice about LOTR tickets. I am taking my dad for his birthday to the matinee on Saturday 8th September and I'm wondering-

a) are the day seats worth it? I know they're great value for money and I did day seats for 'Wicked' which were brilliant, but is LOTR more of a spectacle? Will we miss anything sitting so close to the stage?

cool.gif how are the seats from TKTS? I see that £60 seats are going for £32.50 but where are the seats? Stalls? Circle? If anyone's bought their LOTR tickets from TKTS, I'd be really grateful for any feedback.

Also, what time do people suggest getting to the theatre for day seats (is 10am too late to join the queue?) or to the TKTS booth for their tickets? We will be coming from out of town. Thanks so much guys for any help-I really appreciate it.

this is a good question and what i wondering too as im heading for the thurs mat this week...
i wouldnt say that 10am was too late to join the que for day seats as (from what ive heard) not that many people have been known to be queing before that time, also there is not a strict allocation of day seats- apparently its the best seats the box office has available all for £25 between the hours of 10am and 11am.
as for tkts, id liek to hear from anyone who has purchased lotr tickets from them too and what location they got. i know that if there is a big que at tkts or they have none left the ticket office next to the empire cinema has lotr tickets for around £30 too so one way another i think you should be able to get your hands on tickets...as i hope i do too hehe

i had the same decision to make and went for TKTS in the end.

I got row J of stalls. Great view.

the queue at TKTS does get very long. Arriving before 10 might be an idea.
