Hi,

I am trying to compile as comprehensive a list as possible of theatre websites but am especially interested in ones you think are good. We know a lot already but if any of you have particular favourites, we'd love to hear about them. These can be show sites, discussion sites, performer sites, anything really.

All the best,

David

There are a lot of theatre sites and blogs I visit, but these are the highlights:
The often hilarious West End Whingers - http://westendwhingers.wordpress.com/

The Australian based Theatre Notes provides remarkably in depth coverage of productions -
http://theatrenotes.blogspot.com/

The Scottish Theatre Forum is a great community for those involved in all aspects of Scottish Theatre - performers, companies, professional & amateur, and those who just enjoy theatre (a bit busy at the moment with their own production of "We Will Rock You" in Glenrothes this week)-

And I guess I should mention my own review site, based around Glasgow but also covering Edinburgh Festival stuff. I can't pretend it's in any way academic but we see a lot of theatre and provide a genuine, if often emotional based, response to what we see.

I love Theatremonkey, it has great deals and the seating plans have been very helpful on many occasions.

www.manchestertheatres.com is pretty good for listings in the Manchester theatres.

http://www.broadwayabridged.com/ - this one is full of a lit of sillyness.
I won't be called a baggage!

There are more and more decent theatre blogs out there.

The West End Whingers, as noted, are very entertaining: http://westendwhingers.wordpress.com/ but these three are also worth a look:

For entertainment that sometime excludes information (check their Five Wives of Maurice Pinder review), the West End Whingers are great. Having said that, they are informative as well as engaging and very funny.
