my god that boy really can act.

I have to admit I was sceptical, but last night he really proved that he has a real talent.

In fact, the whole show has all the right elements to make a smash hit!

Go see!

I'll agree, it's amazing that at 17 he's doing this play considering his fan base is people who are under 13. I hope that this will be the start of people seeing him as an actor rather than as Harry Potter.
Which way did he go McGill?

I don't think his fan base is that young. If you think about when the movies actually started they should be a lot older. His new fans of course from the more recent ones will be younger but I know of fans of his who are definitely older than 13! I will say that I was most impressed with him in this play. It would be nice to see him in another role one day - perhaps one with less angst.

Well, maybe I should go and see him after all. Don't really like him in the HP movies as I think he's one of the weaker actors among the "kids". But well, if I can make it in time, I might give it a try and see for myself.  wink.gif

I am about to book tickets for Equus and thought I'd ask if anyone has heard when Daniel Radcliffe might be having a holiday from the show (if at all as it is a limited run) ?

Many thanks

I am too considering going to see Equus. However I am travelling to London in June, and what with the Harry Potter madness this summer,  (the final book and 5th film being released), I felt by June he might not be doing regular performances.

And also, I know the hype is that Dan is naked and everything, but will it be an enjoying play? (All I've heard is that it is quite a famous and respected play within the acting world) I haven't had much experience with plays to be honest, I saw The Glass Menagerie in February and found it refreshing. By that I mean the total lack of music/big lights was odd but very welcome. For those who have seen it, would you recommend it to someone who doesn't really see plays? (but who has found a new interest)

Equus with Daniel Radcliffe is only running until the 9th June because Daniel then has to leave to publicise the 5th Potter film 'The Order of the Phoenix' so even if the play extends it will have to be without Daniel.
Barring ilness you should certainly see Daniel up to the 9th June and as for recommending the play I can only say that you will be hard pushed to find such a powerful piece of well acted drama.
Enjoy!

pesa, thanks for the info, much appreciated. 9th of June? So unlucky, I'm staying in London from the 11th. Oh well, we might decide to go see it anyway. Thanks again.
