Have you read a good book lately, or seen a great film, or watched a thought-provoking drama on TV? What do people think of having an extra section on this forum for discussing other arts-related forms of entertainment??

Before people tell me to go elsewhere, I KNOW this is a theatre forum. I just thought some people might like to discuss a film or book they've enjoyed with the same people with whom they discuss theatre. Of course, the forum will be predominantly theatre-based; but what do people think about having this extra sub-section?

I'd go for it (working in a cinema I see more films than theatre anyway)

we are currently disscussing the idea and muting a few others - so watch this space!
This is my street, I smile at the faces I've known all my life, They regard me with pride.

Don't mute them too much or we won't hear them.

Other dedicated forums I use include an off-topic section to discuss books, TV, films, cooking, etc, and I find it agreeable to have that option. So yes, I support it too - good idea.

I did chuckle when I saw that near-homophone, Monsta. I had a very long conversation at a curry a few weeks ago with someone who was convinced that a "moot point" was actually a "mute point", as you don't need to talk about it any longer! I then started raising the moot button on his TV remote, and the moot swan.

But yes, I would welcome a general arts chat area with the people that post on this website.
I wouldn't say a word that could be reckoned as injurious,
But to find a mother younger than her son is very curious,
And that's the kind of mother that is usually spurious.

I don't agree. This is a theatre-site.
