Hallo.

I'm new on this forum.
I love theatre, specially musicals, and I've on whatsonstage seen that it is possible to be a member of a theatre club with many great offers.
But I can't find the price to become a member anywhere. Can someone tell the price?

Best regards Morten Aagaard from Denmark (I hope you understand my English, I don't speak or write it very well).

It's £30 for a full year's membership.

Sorry to drag up this thread about the theatre club, but I can't start threads and the boards' system insists that with a birth year of 1974, I still need written permission from a parent to register.

Anyway, I've been a club member since August 2010 and still not taken advantage of the benefits (shocking, I know). I want to make amends but wondered how the outings are structured. Do the members tend to mix and stay with each other like a social thing, or is it a case of picking up a ticket and then doing your own thing/dispersing with regular theatregoers?
And are there many people who go on their own (I will be one of them and don't want to feel self- conscious).

THanks

Darren

I went on my own the one time I've been and didn't get any more weird stares than usual. :)

The socialising aspect is very much optional - obviously there will be plenty of like-minded people there to talk to, but perfectly easy to keep yourself to yourself if you prefer. You don't need to do anything other than turn up, collect your ticket and watch the show.

I've been a member since September and for one reason or another haven't used my membership much - mostly due to the outings nearly always being on dates I'm busy!

I joined the club when they did a half price £15) offer last year. I went to see Jerusalem with them and there were a lot of people there from the Club and we got our own seperate bar bit for interval drinks. I did meet a very nice Rylance fan from Hastings and had a chat. Been to a couple of other plays but didn't really find a club outing atmosphere. Still been a good deal though and could have made more use of it if I had more money!

Thanks for the replies. I might see if I can get a ticket for The Invisible Man. :)
