"a Clockwork Orange" - Proud Studios, Camden

Did anybody else manage to catch this? Such an amazing piece of theatre, and a very talented young cast. Pretty much everything you could want from a play - thought-provoking, powerfull, comedic and seriously erotic. Hope it earns a longer run somewhere.

Bobby Crush & Liberace

After recommendation from a friend, a few nights ago we went along to catch Bobby Crush (as Liberace) in the small, sold out downstairs space at Leicester Square Theatre. If you love live piano and Liberace as we do, then you’ll be treated to an absorbing, fun show. What amazed me most was how he manages to play those intricate numbers without one note of written music. He even takes a random selection of songs from the audience and turns them into an instant medley. A show even more outrageous than Liberace himself – worth going just to gawp at for the frocks and rhinestones alone.

Above The Stag Theatre

We, by chance, have just discovered this wonderful new theatre!
Above the Stag
We saw "Bath House the Musical" there (twice) and went back on Monday night for the First Birthday Celebrations of the theatre.
The Artistic director, Peter Bull, introduced a great show which included scenes and songs from past productions such as The Choir, American Briefs as well as Bath House.
The scene from "Busted Jesus Comix" (the next production) was really funny - so we hope to be able to go to see that too.
Then we were treated to a song from "Silence!" which moves there in January.

http://www.abovethestag.com/home.html

Has anyone seen or read anything about this? It's just popped up all of a sudden, and sounds incredibly interesting and more than a little fun!

http://smalltownanywhere.net - the official site.
Lyn Gardner - seems to have enjoyed it a whole bunch.
OfficialLondonTheatre.co.uk - gave it quite an intriguing write-up too.

I've booked myself in for this weekend and have sent an email to Henri so I can get in a little prep. I'm genuinely really excited about this!
