Kristin Chenoweth heads over the pond for first UK tour

For the first time in over a decade, the Emmy and Tony Award winning Kristin Chenoweth will return to the UK in March, for one week only, in her debut UK concert tour.

Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and produced by Neil Eckersley, the show will include material from the worlds of opera, pop and musical theatre, songs from her celebrated albums, and music from the shows that have made Kristin famous.

Best known for originating the role of Glinda in the original cast of Wicked, Chenoweth has received a Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for her performances as Sally in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Eve in The Apple Tree and, most recently, Fran Kubelik in Promises, Promises

She also has numerous TV credits, including recurring roles as Annabeth Schott in The West Wing, an Emmy Award winning performance as Olive Snook in Pushing Daisies, and an Emmy nominated performance as April Rhodes in Glee.

Conducting Chenoweth’s UK tour will be Rob Fisher, founding Musical Director and Conductor of the Encores! series, at New York’s City Center, and sound and lighting design will be by Matt Berman. In addition, the cast of singers and dancers will be Tyler Hanes, who is also the choreographer, Will Taylor and Jennifer Diamond.

The show premieres at the London Coliseum on 11 March, before visiting the Manchester Opera House on 13 March, Edinburgh Festival Theatre on 15 March and Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on 17 March.
