De La Warr Pavilion
Commissioned in 1923-24 as a people's palace by the sea. Opened in 1935. The first major welded steel frame building in England. Seats 1016. Redevelopment closed the venue in 2003. The re-opening date is now set for August 2005. Rescheduled for Oct 2005
