Ballet Central – Tour 2020

Ballet Central is the graduate performing company of the Central School of Ballet in London.

An extract from Wayne McGregor’s Symbionts will be performed as well as scenes from Pepita’s iconic 19th-century Russian ballet La Bayadere. Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s work Requiem for a Rose explores a beautiful metaphor of romance whilst Scottish Ballet’s Sophie Laplane creates a new work George(ette) based on the story of George Elliot, to a newly-commissioned score by resident composer Philip Feeney. Finally, Jenna Lee will present Rock ‘n’ Roll, a new work inspired by the upbeat music and style of the 1950’s dance halls.
