Panto at Misery-on-Sea has not gone well and tonight, of al nights, a big producer is coming to see the show. Backstage, tensions rise, tempers fray and tantrums rage. The happy, glitzy family image of panto gives way to a far less wholesome world – the dark underbelly of showbiz – a world inhabited by performers going nowhere, and they know it.
