An Evening with Dame Harriet Walter

Dame Harriet Walter is one of the country’s most celebrated stage actresses and has played many of Shakespeare’s leading parts – both male and female. Her television credits include appearances on Downton Abbey, The Crown, Call the Midwife and Law and Order: UK. Her film career includes classic movies Sense and Sensibility, Bright Young Things and Antonement whilst she has also recently been seen in The Sense of an Ending and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Her books include Other People’s Shoes and Brutus and Other Heroines. She is the recipient of Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Actress and has been nominated for a Tony Award and multiple Drama Desk Awards. Dame Harriet Walter is a patron of Nuffield Southampton Theatres.
