Catatumbo bring their own renditions of popular traditional songs and infectious latin rhythms, they present a variety of styles, including tambor from the coast, waltzes from the Andes and joropo from the Ilanos. Featuring the unmistakable sound of the traditional Veneluelan cuatro, supported by a bass and percussion section and driven by the mean and mesmerising lines of fretless or double bass.
