About This Show

When he was ten, Enaiat Akbari’s village fell prey to the Taliban. Fearing for his life, Enaiat’s mother led him across the border where she left him, alone, to fend for himself. So began Enaiat’s five-year ordeal, traversing bitterly cold mountains, near-suffocating in the base of a truck, steering an inflatable raft in violent seas from Pakistan to Italy – witnessing death, discovering brotherhood, and surviving to tell this tale.

Every single pound of the company profits earned from the sale of tickets, programmes and refreshments for this tour will go directly to Young Roots. No expenses incurred by any member of the company have been, or will be, claimed. LoudonMoranProductions was specially formed by Mary Loudon & Nicola Moran to share this incredible story & raise money for Young Roots, a charity providing immediate and long-term support to child refugees and asylum seekers arriving in the UK. Mary had been introduced to the work of Young Roots by Juliet Stevenson and she was keen to help raise funds. Mary sent Enaiat’s story to Nicola Moran, and over tea in a café in September 2019, Nicola & Mary’s work was agreed and immediately begun.
