About This Show

A performance space. Silence. Memory. A sea of male bodies. A Sea Of Troubles is a striking new choreographic work created by Peter McMaster with Louise Ahl. Slow, tense and tender, this unfurling performance confronts the fragility of memory, masculinity and the burdens of language. Recovering traces of male presence in theatrical history, it explores how putting space between words and their meaning can re-write what has come before. This quietly beautiful work urges you to look closely at yourself, your space and what a moving male body can mean.
