Shakespeare’s patriotic history play about the warrior-king. Henry V leads the English to victory at Agincourt and afterwards is taught the words of love by the French Princess, Katherine. A vivid depiction of the horrors of war and a romantic, fast-moving story.After spending years in bars and brothels with his small-time criminals mates, Henry suddenly inherits the family business and has to act responsibly. But has he really changed or is it just smart PR pushing what a great leader he is? And who will he trample on and betray in order to keep his power and wealth? The king we have been taught was the embodiment of English heroism, noble and triumphant despite impossible military odds. However, we soon find that, behind the facade, his lust for power and riches is corrosive, corrupting and deadly, But one of his old friends starts to see through him too. Spaceworks, the Space’s participative drama group, reveal a different side to one of Shakespeare’s best-known characters in their latest production.
