Celtic Sisters

About the Show

Celtic Sisters is set in 1947 London. An Irish and a Scottish girl escape their small towns, controlling mothers and Catholicism for something bigger. Finding each other amongst the smog, they form an immediate connection in the city full of foreigners. These girls don’t have oceans between them and their families, but Fionna and Niamh are far enough away to feel lonely. Celtic Sisters looks at abortion, equality and the strength of women… and that fuzzy feeling you get when you think about your best friend.
