In 1809, in the grand stately house of Sidley Park, the young Thomasina Coverly confounds and amuses her brilliant tutor Septimus with wild theories on Maths, years ahead of her time as a trail of Adultery and Duels are fought in the gardens for the honour of poets and unfaithful wives.

Almost 200 years later, historian Hannah Jarvis reluctantly teams up with Byron expert Bernard Nightingale to uncover the murky secret of Sex and Literature that occurred in Thomasina’s time, finding that history has an uncanny knack of repeating itself…
