About This Show

Hidden away in the Record Department of the sprawling Ministry of Truth, Winston Smith skillfully rewrites the past to suit the needs of the Party. Yet he inwardly rebels against the harsh totalitarian world he lives in which demands absolute obedience and controls him through the all-seeing telescreens and the watchful eye of Big Brother, symbolic head of the Party.

This exciting new production from director Angharad Ormond (Kindertransport – Theatro Technis & Upstairs at the Gatehouse) will be an immersive experience, blurring the lines between voyeur and participant and bringing Orwell’s dystopian world to the stage with a combination of live video, puppetry, songs and physical theatre. Just remember: Big Brother is watching you!
