DH Lawrence and Nostalgia

D.H. Lawrence sought inspiration for his writing from memories of his youth in Nottinghamshire. Although he could often be acerbic about Nottinghamshire, he called it ‘the country of my heart’. Through his creative work, he made the area famous around the world. In this performance, students from local schools will explore Lawrence’s nostalgic feelings, finding inspiration in his poems, novels, and plays.
