Action Man follows the story of Corporal Liam Drury: who upon retirement, struggles with a diagnosis of PTSD and the threat of sleeping on the street. Action Man includes important insight into how the mental health cuts can contribute to homelessness, and how waiting on therapeutic help can, in the worst cases, lead to the most extreme forms of poverty.
Plaster Cast work to combat the media’s dehumanisation of the homeless through the proliferation of statistics. Our show instead follows the personal, individual exploration of one man’s experience.
