Ludovico Einaudi

Composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi makes a rare UK appearance, showcasing his sprawling and ambitious new project, Seven Days Walking – the first instalment of which is released in March 2019.

Seven Days Walking is divided into seven episodes, each with its own theme. The project is inspired by Einaudi’s winter walks through the mountains near his home, his thoughts free to roam inside the storm.

He’s joined by Redi Hasa on cello and Federico Mecozzi on violin to perform excerpts from Seven Days

‘The idea first came to me as I was listening to the recordings of the first sessions’, Einaudi says of the project. ‘Each version seemed to me to have its own personality, with subtleties so distinct from one another that I was unable to choose which I preferred. I associated everything with walking, with the experience of following the same routes over and over, discovering new details each time.’
