Berenice

Berenice, Queen of Egypt, is in love with Demetrio, Prince of Macedonia, but is reluctantly betrothed to Prince Alessandro of Rome, who has fallen madly in love with her. Berenice has ordered her sister Selene to marry Prince Arsace. But Selene and Demetrio are secretly in love and plot to overthrow Berenice with her enemy, Mithridates.
