Fill your hearts this Christmas with one of the greatest musicals of all time, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s glorious The Sound of Music, which plays at Curve, Leicester from Saturday 22 November to Saturday 17 January.

Following the five-star success of their 2024 festive spectacular My Fair Lady, Artistic Director Nikolai Foster brings his Made at Curve magic to this beloved musical classic.

Leading this year’s cast after charming audiences and critics alike last Christmas will be Molly Lynch as Maria and David Seadon-Young as Captain von Trapp. They will be joined by five-time nominee and two-time Olivier Award-winner Joanna Riding (CAROUSEL, National Theatre and MY FAIR LADY, Drury Lane) as Mother Abbess, Aviva Tulley (THE WIZARD OF OZ, Gillian Lynne Theatre and UK tour and LES MISÉRABLES, International arena tour) as Liesl, the eldest of the von Trapp siblings and Faye Brookes, known for playing Kate Connor on ITV’s CORONATION STREET, will be playing the role of Baroness Elsa Schraeder as well as a stellar cast.

Marking the 60th anniversary of the film’s release, this heart-warming tale of family, romance and rebellion features a timeless score including Do-Re-Mi, My Favorite Things, Climb Ev’ry Mountain and of course, its soaring title number, The Sound of Music.
