The Snowman and Paddington Bear

About This Show

This double-bill of classic musical stories is suitable for children and adults with autism, sensory and communication impairments and learning disabilities as well as individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind and partially sighted. The first half of the concert features the score from Herbert Chappell’s Paddington Bear’s First Concert, performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the very first time by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and a special guest narrator. Join Paddington? on a journey from his first meeting with the Brown Family right up to making his conducting debut on one of the world’s most famous stages – here! In the second half of the concert, we are delighted to be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Raymond Briggs’ magical picture book The Snowman?. The enchanting animated film will be shown on the Hall’s big screen while Howard Blake’s heart-melting score, including the Walking in the Air song, is performed live.
