In 2004 South Park (and Book of Mormon) creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker released Team America: World Police . . . a film entirely performed by marionettes (actually even better than that, they are supermarionettes, you know – like a Thunderbird). It’s the USA and a paramilitary police force are attempting to save the world from Kim Jong-Il and his bid for global destruction.
The BBFC gave it a 15 rating due to “strong language, violence, sex, all involving puppets” so what other reasons do you need to come and see this film? That and a singing Kim Jong-Il marionette.
