Risk Nights

A series of upcoming ‘Risk Nights’ at The Playground Theatre in West London will see three outstanding British jazz and contemporary music exponents perform previously undevised and unexpected music, made spontaneously on each specific evening and opening up a sense of risk in the moment. These virtuoso artists – Mark Springer (piano), Steve Fishwick (trumpet), Mark Sanders (percussion) – will freely explore what music they create in this one-off setting. “It has to be an absolute RISK,” states pianist Springer. “We can’t determine anything before the actual concert and the whole space including the audience will become part of how the music is created.”
