About the Show

It’s 2015. Whitney Houston pumps through the speakers of one of the biggest gay clubs in the city. Through the maze of fuck boys, cheap shots and drag queens – Connor meets Rob. One’s a newcomer. The other has been on the scene too long. But in here their differences don’t matter. Do they? Fusing Spoken Word, Dance and Original Music No Place Like Home is a solo performance about violence and LGBT nightlife.

Alex Roberts is an actor, theatre-maker and poet. He is an alumni of Warwick University and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He has worked with The Wardrobe Ensemble, Breach Theatre, The RSC and CPT. No Place Like Home is a co-production with Jamie Wright.
